Windows 8 to offer both Metro and desktop interface

When Apple makes many and flagrant similarities between iOS and Mac OS X Lion, Microsoft decides to follow this genius strategy. In fact, we can observe many similarities (in the interface model design domain) between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 7. Microsoft will offer to Windows 8 users the option of working with a new Metro interface to make the user life easier (more addictive ?). This version gives primordial importance to multitasking options. It presents widgets and it is very similar to mobile operating systems  Fashion (especially iOS and Android), useful, powerful and simple at the same time. In the official Windows 8's blog, this option was officially and implicitly confirmed, described as "fast and fluid".
Although this version, or this new design of Windows 8 is convenient, Microsoft will surely offer the traditional desktop version of Windows as an alternative. So orthodox people can also easily work with a familiar interface. Some experts have the impression that this Metro Desktop will be the default desktop when you install Windows 8 on your computer...
A new functionality, the "Windows App Store". The name haven't been confirmed yet, but the app was officially announced. Apple released the Mac App Store for Mac OS X Lion which have been a success in many ways. Windows is interested in the fact that "Having a Store can improve user experience", and if this store will know a success, this will assure better future to the anterior versions of Windows. Notice that this is not the first trial of Windows, who already tried to launch an "App Store" in the past, which has been a failure. Notice also that year after year growth Mac OS X Lion increased by 28% but PCs decreased by 1% and a few days ago, Windows was below the 90% bar. So Windows 8 is a deal for Microsoft !

  11. @Anonymous (September 7, 7:31) Microsoft wanted to make the user life easier, and at the same time more powerful by increasing Windows functionality (Did Microsoft imitated the similarity between Mac OS X Lion and iOS (from Apple) ?). So Windows Metro Desktop is very similar to Windows Phone 7 user interface... The easy and fluid usage of this version makes of it the default desktop, but this news wasn't confirmed. This is only a rumor.

  12. @Anonymous (September 9, 8:50) We don't know exactly when Windows 8 will be published and unveiled, but probably very soon because the Mac App Store and Mac OS X Lion (very powerful operating system) are growing very fast. Microsoft don't want to be late, like Windows Vista for example. So Windows 8 might be available in a few weeks, or months, but surely before 2012, we think.
