iOS 5 Twitter Pools Review: what you have to know

Apple just unveiled iOS 5 at the last WWDC. Like usually, it is the world's most advanced mobile operating system, but it is also the biggest leap Apple have taken since its existence with iOS. Here's our partial review of iOS: (We'll progress like Scott Forstall did in his keynote).

iOS main features
1- Notification Center
It is just incredible. Before, when we receive notifications, they were posted in the lock screen (nice but not really) and when we unlock the iPhone it is not persistant. Now, we have a "sexy" list right from the lock screen. We can swipe directly any item we want to open, and iOS 5 takes us directly to the app. If the iPhone was unlocked, a white bar appears in the top of the screen and disappears few seconds after. It's really convenient. And, an Android-like feature, you can swipe anywhere, anytime form your iPhone, and access Notification Center. Beautiful but addictive at the same time.

2- Newsstand
Nice, but what disappoint us is that you can install free app right in the newsstand App Store, but after you have to subscribe to many, many magazines. But free publications like NewYork Times, are just awesome. Tablet users love to read news on their device, and that is exactly what Apple did. Year after year, it will be a real revolution for our numerical lives. And it's really similar to the iBooks Store. What disappointed us:
3- Safari
It's the word's most advanced mobile browser, quality and popularity speaking. It is the fastest mobile browser ever, but also have 64% worldwide market share. And comparing to the iPhone market share (5%), 64% is just awesomely amazing. And iOS 5 takes it even further. Reader is amazing for iPhone users. So when they read articles on webpages, no need to go left and right to read all text. And the font size is just perfect. For iPad users, the revolution is the Tab Navigation. It's fluid, fast and beautiful. Reading list is perfect, especially when you use iCloud. So if you're reading an article on the web, and you're running on low battery,it's the perfect time to use Reading list: you can add the page to reading list and continue reading this article on your iPad or your Mac, and even Windows. And now, for iOS, you can access your recently closed tabs. On the top of that, you can now find words on webpages, for the first time, in mobile operating systems.
Nothing disappointed us, all is great. Really great.
4- Reminders
Not really new for iOS. But it's perfect when you use it with Siri, in your iPhone 4S. And, the interface is simple and intuitive, and powerful at the same time.
5- Camera
Steve Jobs says that in every keynote and Apple is really proud of it: iPhone, and iPad proposes a complete solution for your wishes. Hardware and software are both made by Apple and, working together, they provide the best for the user. And it's really true. Now with Camera, you can edit photos, and share them. iPhone and iPas 2 are the complete solution for us: You take a video, crop some pictures, edit it on iMove right for your iPhone and share. No competitor can propose that with advanced software and technology working behind this. As a matter fact, experts says that iPhone 4S's Camera is perfect (other than 8MegaPixel, and 1080p video recording). It's really nice, nothing disappointed us. That's an amazing picture (Of course, taken on an iPhone 4S)
6- Mail and Split keyboard
Amazingly great. It just works. A lot of improvements. No bugs.
7- PC Free
Here is the revolution for the iPhone. Now you can setup your device, right from the box. No need to use iTunes, at anytime. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
8- iMessage
For those who have an iPhone, they won't remark this feature because it is intelligently integrated in the Messages app, and because Apple really knows how to simplify the life of its user. For those who have an iPad, iMessage is ideal to communicate between all iOS devices and for free. For iPhone users, you can know if you're sending free texts messages by seeing the color of the conversation: it have to be blue (and iMessage is written of the bottom). iPhone have 89% retention rate, with is just amazingly awesome, and iMessage will increase this number, because iOS users will be more addicted to their Apple iDevices.

Enjoy your upgrade :-)
