iPad 3′s display is built for gamers

Excitement for the iPad 3 has now started to build at a greater rate since we are approaching the usual release window for the device, and recent rumors suggest it’s on the way. There has been a huge amount of speculation regarding the third-generation iPad but none more so than the graphics because of what it will mean to certain gamers, although we should not overlook the display.
While we consider the graphics an important element to win over the gamers you also need a decent display as well, and we have reason to believe that the display for the new model could have four times the amount of pixels as the current version. Having already mentioned the fact that the iPad 3 could come with a Retina display (as used on the iPhone 4/4S) it’s hard to imagine what kind of impact this would have on how a game would look like, but we know 2012 is going to be a big year for gaming on mobile devices and it looks as though the ipad 3 could be at the forefront.

In December of last year a few photos were leaked of what looked like a Retina display for an upcoming iPad and it was clear to see there were three ribbon cables and not two, which could mean there would be a need for more data to be carried from the hardware to the display. Latest rumors suggest if this were the case then we could expect the iPad 3 to come with a resolution of 2048 x 1536, which is compared to 1024-by-768 for the current model.
 

Apple Testing Siri On Devices Other Than the iPhone 4S [Exclusive]

Today, we have a very interesting bit of news, tipped to us by a source close to Apple. According to them, Apple is testing Siri on devices other than the iPhone 4S. The device specifically mentioned to us was the iPhone 4, but we can most likely assume that other devices are being tested as well. This means that we will potentially see a software update that allows Siri to run on older devices. Currently, it only runs on the iPhone 4S, but Apple has given employees access to a special software version that incorporates Siri’s features on to older devices. Hackers and developers are currently working for a port, but if Apple releases this in a software update any time soon, they may not need to.

iOS 5 Twitter Pools Review: what you have to know

Apple just unveiled iOS 5 at the last WWDC. Like usually, it is the world's most advanced mobile operating system, but it is also the biggest leap Apple have taken since its existence with iOS. Here's our partial review of iOS: (We'll progress like Scott Forstall did in his keynote).

It is just incredible. Before, when we receive notifications, they were posted in the lock screen (nice but not really) and when we unlock the iPhone it is not persistant. Now, we have a "sexy" list right from the lock screen. We can swipe directly any item we want to open, and iOS 5 takes us directly to the app. If the iPhone was unlocked, a white bar appears in the top of the screen and disappears few seconds after. It's really convenient. And, an Android-like feature, you can swipe anywhere, anytime form your iPhone, and access Notification Center. Beautiful but addictive at the same time.

Lookout Introduces a Security App for iPhones

Most iPhone users blithely believe that their phones are safe from hackers. Unlike Android phones, which have been the target of a few malicious attacks, iPhones have so far been less vulnerable because Android is growing faster and because, unlike Apple, it does not screens all apps before allowing them in its app store.

But Lookout, a start-up that makes security apps for phones, wants iPhone owners to use its product, too. On Tuesday, it plans to introduce an iPhone app that addresses what its founders say are worries unique to iPhone owners.

Mobile phone security is not a crisis yet, because hackers are still mostly focused on computers. But smartphones are also computers, and people generally do not think about protecting their phones the same way they protect their laptops, even though phones often have much more sensitive information.

Apple’s Profit Gains 54%, but iPhone Sales Fall Short of Expectations

For any other big company, a 54 percent increase in profit and a 39 percent jump in revenue would be enviable. For Apple though, weak sales of its star product — the iPhone — were enough to overshadow everything else when it reported fourth-quarter results on Tuesday, sending the company’s shares tumbling nearly 7 percent in after-hours trading.

In a rare disappointment, the company missed Wall Street forecasts for its iPhone business. The company reported big increases in the sale of the iPad and of Mac computers, and even said the number of iPhones it sold in the quarter jumped 21 percent from a year ago. But investors fixated on a 16 percent decline in iPhone sales from the third quarter. Apple shares fell 7 percent after the release of the results at the close of normal trading hours.

Apple executives blamed the shortfall in iPhone sales on unusually heated rumors that the company would release a new phone in the fall, leading consumers to delay their purchases so they could get the latest version. That new phone — the iPhone 4S — did, indeed, come out earlier this month, to what Apple said was the best initial sales of any iPhone yet. But it was too late to benefit the fourth quarter, which ended Sept. 24.

Steve Jobs Is Dead

Steve Jobs is dead. The Apple chairman and former CEO who made personal computers, smartphones, tablets, and digital animation mass-market products passed away today. We're going to miss him. Deeply, and personally.
Steven P. Jobs passed away on October 5th, 2011 after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was just 56 years old. We mourn his passing, and wish his family the very best.

He was the reason many of us got into this industry, or even care about technology at all. He made the computer personal, and the smartphone fun. Bill Gates may have put a computer on every office desk, but it was Steve Jobs who put one in every dorm room and bedroom and living room. And then, years later, he repeated the trick, putting one in every bag and every pocket, thanks to the iPad and iPhone. If you use a computer or smartphone today, it is either one he created, or an imitation of his genius.

He changed the way movies are made, the way music is sold, the way stories are told, the very way we interact with the world around us. He helped us work, and gave us new ways to play. He was a myth made man.

iPad 3: The suppliers already chosen

The rumor of the day: The iPad 3 suppliers were chosen by Apple. Digitimes announces the first iPad 3 suppliers, but Apple hasn't confirmed yet.

Another rumor: iPad 3 may probably be announced in 2012. Some delays caused essentially by the AMOLED screen production, rumors confirms. However, a rumor tells that iPad 3 may be cheaper than iPad 2 and iPad, and this can exacerbate the competitions between Apple and Samsung especially, who provides the AMOLED screens. Strange not ?

An AMOLED screen for iPad 3 ?

One new day; and many new rumors. The last rumor concerns iPad 3's screen. Tim Cook was sighted in South Korea (but this information wasn't confirmed), the original's Samsung country to deal the integration of an AMOLED screen for the iPad 3.
What's AMOLED and why Apple is interested in this new technology ?
Apple is very interested in the AMOLED screen which makes iPad's screen less sensible to sun luminosity when you hold this tablet in your hands if you were outside home. Thus, this technology can maximize the battery life of the iPad, so it might be more than 10 hours durability.


Although Apple is interested in AMOLEDs screen, remind that it's hard to deal with Samsung, especially if Apple requested a new hardware, and this because Samsung rejects the domination of the iPad in the market (>90% of market share) and want the progress and success of the Galaxy Tab. Also, Apple recently gains the interdiction of the new Galaxy Tab in the US and the majority of European Countries.

If your mobile device has Wi-Fi enabled, the device's previous location may be listed on the Web.

Google publishes the estimated location of millions of iPhones, laptops, Android Phones and other million devices with Wi-Fi connections, the latest twist in a series of revelations this year about wireless devices and privacy. Android phones with location services enabled regularly beam the unique hardware IDs of nearby Wi-Fi devices back to Google, a similar practice followed by Microsoft, Apple, and Skyhook Wireless as part of each company's effort to map the street addresses of access points and routers around the globe.

Only Google and Skyhook Wireless, however, make their location databases linking hardware IDs to street addresses publicly available on the Internet, which raises novel privacy concerns when the IDs they're tracking are mobile. If someone knows your hardware ID, he may be able to find a physical address that the companies associate with you--even if you never intended it to become public. So this is a new reason, for why iPhone is better than Android Phones. We are victims of our technology !

iPhone 5: The most important rumours that you need to know

Apple iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S has made the biggest media buzz of history. So, to maintain this huge buzz, Apple wanted to prolong the suspense (and for many other economic reasons, like the earthquake and the tsunami in Japan, or the explosion in a compagny which produces iPad 2). Thus, iPhone 5 might be inveiled in September or Nouvember. Here are the most important rumours that you need to know:

1. A completely different design than the iPhone 4

Why ? Because, many consummers repproach to Apple that the iPhone 4 have "cubic" borders, and second because the concurrence is making smartphones more and more develloped, and iPhone have to up the level

2. Same dimensions, and no larger screen, but thinner

A big part of the rumours are that "iPhone 5 may have a large screen". This is impossible, because applications on App Store are made for a certain resolution, which is the same resolution of the iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G. Making a larger screen will disable all the apps, and this will be catastrophic for Apple. But, iPhone 5 will certainly be thinner.

3. iPhone Nano, and iPhone 5

The biggest problem of the iPhone 5 is that it is so expansive. So Apple might launch an iPhone nano, with a price, similar to Nokia phones, and here, iPhone might conquer the world ! But certain experts said that it is not possible.

4. iPhone 5 specs
More memory, and the famous Apple A5 dual-cor processor (in iPad 2) are wanted. The specs ? A new antenna, 1.2GHz processor, and maybe also the iPhone 5 will be made form a new kind of alloy, and why not meat.


5. Camera
A 12.6 Mega Pixel camera is wanted, and many experts confirms this rumours. Now, you won't need to take your Canon to take photos. Take the iPhone 5, it is better...


6. iPhone 5 price (without iPhone nano)
If the iPhone 5 is an evolutionary step like the move from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3GS then we'd expect the price to stay more or less the same
